A new adaptation of Georges Arnaud's 1950 novel of suspense and fear "Le Salaire de la Peur". Its the hottest day of the summer. There hasn't been a job in this stinking town that didnt involving putting the whip on someone's back for years. 'Drivers Wanted. Dangerous Work. High Pay'. Now the only way out is to drive a truck loaded with nitro glycerine over a pot holed and rutted bush track.
